There was a certain man who had a certain house.

I say a certain house because it was not a special house other than it was His house and in truth He was what made that house special.  For he made his certain house a home.

Yes as a home. A home freely open to all who needed and wanted his love.  Now in truth everyone needed his love but not everyone accepted that they needed his love and not everyone wanted his love.

So yes a certain man with a certain house, not a special house but a certain house and one that was open to all and that held within it many cracked pots.

And these cracked pots always created reactions and these reactions always differed from person to person.

Now some chose not to see the cracked pots and simply saw the more appealing ones,

Others would see the cracked pots but not the cracks looking instead at their shapes and patterns or how useful they were or could be.

Some would see the cracks but feel sorry for the pots or would want to be seen to be loving so would use them for lesser important things but never for the important stuff.

Now to others these cracked pots would actually be embarrassing and even a source of irritation and they would try to avoid them at all costs,

Yet others would whilst not being fully or so obviously embarrassed by these cracked pots, would try to turn them or change them so that the cracks could not be seen or were not so obvious.

And yet to others they would not judge the cracked pots (or would not be seen to) but would certainly not trust them.

And yet others would see the cracks in the pots and think not to judge the pots but to contemplate their own cracks and weaknesses.

Yes, there was a certain man who had a certain house.

A certain house, a certain home.
A home freely open to all who needed and wanted his love.  Now in truth everyone needed his love but not everyone accepted that they needed his love and not everyone wanted his love.

So yes a certain man with a certain house, a certain home, not a special house but a certain house and one that was open to all and that held within it many cracked pots.

We call it “Church,” –  a place full of cracked pots.

Have you been in this certain house?

Have you seen these cracked pots?

What was, what is, your reaction to them?

What was, what is, their reaction to you?  After all, aren’t you also a cracked pot?
